Guidelines
Dates: February 3 (Wed) – February 11 (Thu), 2027
Location: Kodokan Judo Institute
Purpose:
To provide international Judo practitioners and instructors with an opportunity to study the theory and techniques of Kodokan Judo, promote the global spread of Judo, and foster future instructors. In addition, eligible participants will have the opportunity to take the Kodokan Dan Promotion Exam.
Target Participants:
International Judo practitioners and instructors ranging from Mudan (Non-Kodokan Dan grade holder) to 3rd Dan.
Exam Eligibility:
Participants who meet the eligibility requirements set forth in the Kodokan Dan Promotion Regulations.

Capacity:
Minimum 20 participants, Maximum 50 participants.
Dan Exam Applicants:
Required documents will be sent to applicants by the Grading Department.
Program Contents:
- Lectures
- Practical Training (Nage-waza, Katame-waza, Kata: Nage-no-Kata, Katame-no-Kata)
- Demonstration (Nage-no-Kata, Katame-no-Kata) / Dan Promotion Exam (1st Dan to 3rd Dan)
- Certificate of Completion will be issued.
Fees:
- Single Room Accommodation: ¥99,000 (tax included)
- Dormitory Accommodation: ¥66,000 (tax included)
- Included in Fee: 8 nights accommodation, Tuition fee (¥22,000), Practice fee.
- Not Included in Fee: Airfare, domestic transportation, Kodokan membership fee, Dan exam fee, meals, and other personal expenses.

Conditions:
- Applicants are required to attend all sessions. Partial participation is not permitted.
- You meet the eligibility requirements of the summer courses outline.
- For cancellations, we will charge the following fee.
- Up to 1 day prior: 10% of total fee
- On the day: 100% of the total fee
- Customers who have paid by bank transfer, etc., will be charged an additional fee for the transfer commission of the refund.
